When Jesus Ayala came to the United States from San Jose de la Paz, Jalisco, he came with a dream that his family owned estilo de casa (homestyle) Mexican restaurant would grow. Two and a half decades later, Antonio Ayala has come to create his father’s dream to own and operate one of the most well-known and successful brand of Mexican restaurants in the south-eastern United States. The original La Hacienda (The Ranch), was established in Greenwood, SC. Over the years, strict attention and dedication has gone in to each restaurant to ensure that La Hacienda always provides a truly special Mexican dining experience.
It all started from the traditional recipes which La Hacienda still serves today in over 10 locations. Perfectly seasoned carne asada, and fresh-garden salsa combined with crispy golden tortilla chips and a signature Margarona any day of the week! These delicious recipes have been passed down and improved from generation to generation. Today, the 25 year old business extends a warm welcome to customers who are dining for the first time, or regulars whom La Hacienda’s friendly and helpful staff know by name.
